Barefoot Crochet Sandals Pattern

have a new pattern to share!

The summer is almost here so lets make this barefoot sandals:

To make these you will need:

Yarn (lace, light, worsted weight)- I used Aunt Lydia's Crochet Cotton size 10. But if I had to do it again, i would choose Cotton thread size 3.

I used Hook # B/2.25. But you can use any hook size depending on what kind of yarn you work with.

The Pattern:
We will need to make 2 triangle motifs, one for each sandal.

Make ch10 and  join with a sl st to form a ring.

Row 1: You will be working inside the formed ring:  3sc,  then *ch5, 3sc* repeat 4 more times, then ch3 and dc st.

Row 2:  *Ch6, sc in the 3rd ch st of the ch5 space of the previous round* repeat 5 more times. You will make the last sc into the ch3+dc space that you created at the end of Row 1.

Row 3: *ch3, following  sts will be made into the ch6 st- 2 dc, treble crochet, double treble crochet st, ch15, double treble crochet, treble crochet and 2 dc; then into the next ch6 space- 3sc,picot of 3 chain stitches, 3sc.*repeat 2 more times but instead of ch15 make ch6.

Now you will need to make 4 tie-backs, 2 for each sandal.

Ch75, then take the triangular motif and join the 75-Ch that you created with the 6-Ch space on the side of the motif ( the Ch6 space that you created in Round 3)

Repeat this process for the other side of the sandal. Do the same for the second one.

I hope it all make sense. :))

Now when you are finished, just try your new sandals on and feel the pride!

Then make another pair for your friend!

And then another one! :)

Happy Crocheting,

Tanya

  1. in row 3 you said to repeat 2 more times from * which means we should also repeat the ch15. So I was wondering what ch6 space did I create in row 3 only to realize that the repeat should have said 'do ch6 instead of ch15 in the next 2 repeats'
